Beware silent tears for they spring from glazed eyes unseeing staring into faraway somethings and they are one of the most profound things to witness--a quiet sadness, profound in its elusive dignity, tinged with resignation, exalted for a moment, and a strange unseeing gaze.
When you hear a woman cry on the phone, comfort her; for we are adept in silent tears.
And it doesn't even have to go very far. Do not pile on the sympathies or love or agonized cries if they don't spring from the core of your being. Sometimes simply knowing, is comfort enough.
