There was once a boy called K. We were primary school/classmates and he was the most detestable boy I've ever known. At that time I've never known anyone who was capable of making the whole class ostracize him the way we did. He was the Official Class Pest nobody wanted to hang out with. I used to laugh (in secret and during bitching) at his over-gelled, centre-parted hair; his too-tight-for-his-chubbiness uniform; and his trying-too-damn-hard efforts.

By some miraculous work, we are still in contact today. He has apparently became a kind of casanova with girls. I remember being shocked and appalled that the girls, Actually, Really, DO fall for him. In my opinion he has matured a tweeny bit, no longer pest-y but still pretty spoilt; but all in all still not someone casanova-ish.

He called me on Sunday out of the blue and told me he needs to talk. Ok. So, he broke up with his girlfriend. It's quite fucked up actually. He and Ex-A broke up because his clique-member-friend went after her and she reciprocated. Now his good friend and Ex-A are together. Now he broke up with Ex-B and apparently ANOTHER of the clique-member told him after the break up that he's in love with Ex-B. Ample reasons to be jaded for life and not introduce his future girlfriends to his buddies.

So I was cheering him up/counselling him over text/sms just now. When he sounded suitably cheerier, he asked the most bizarre question.

"Enough about my problems. Since we're on the topic of love, why not talk about u and me? [And I was like ?!?!?!?!?!??!!?!?!?!?!?!?!?] Did you like me before? Cuz I have a feeling you used to really like me."
OH.MY.GOD.TRIPLE TIMES OVER. I was so traumatized that my animosity back then in primary school ACTUALLY translated into AFFECTION for him!??!!? That's just disgusting! I had a hundred and one mean/hurtful retorts but in the end I said "Errrrrrrr No your feelings are very wrong.".

I'm going to think that his freshly bruised ego needs soothing and inflating and pampering and therefore it has short-circuited his brains. He was actually exploring past-potential-could-have-beens. .....!?!?!?!?!?

Guys are just Weird.
