Last semester, I saw an extremely old lady with extremely wrinkled, blackened skin pull down her bottom in public and proceeded to pee at the side of a covered walkway. Walking pass her, I turned and saw her lined face edged with black scars like soot, distorted and very ugly (there are average things/people, not-pretty, but there are not a lot of terribly ugly things in this world; her face was so ugly it was scary.) And I saw her naked from the waist down, pubic hair and all. She glared at everyone, seeing and unseeing, like an ancient totem from a primitive tribe.
A couple of months ago, I was the spectator of a mad and insane sight on the train. There were 3 queer people in the same cabin of the train. One old lady babbled to herself and cursed everyone in the train systematically, afterwhich she cursed the rest of the world. A primary school boy who wore his shorts high up to almsot chest level went to appease her, his eyes were vacant and lolling, and he clasped his hands together like how some chinese pray to the Gods in a trancelike manner. A man came in and had a placid smile. He sat down beside the raving lady. Then he stood up and walked across him to a woman reading papers and stood looking over her papers, attempting to read it. When the startled lady looked at him, he looked at her with his placid smile and took the papers from her. The schoolboy proceeded to offer the raving lady a lollipop. It was too much. I could not deal with it and fled from the train.
The other day, I saw an indian lady kick her daughter on the public bus.
Today, I saw a girl (almost) screaming at her boyfriend, jabbing her index finger into him and stabbing him with her eyes before strutting off to the oncoming train.
I think there's something very wrong with our society that's affecting the psyches of many unconscious minds.
