:: burning fingers ::

my fingers are burning! BURNING WITH RELISH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

that is of course a metaphorical exclamation. my fingers are burning because i was handling chilli padi just now whilst helping my mommy prepare for dinner. i took raw chilli from the fridge, washed them, slit them open to remove the seeds, chopped them into tiny pieces to dab onto the mounds of meat atop the mushroom. i felt absolutely nothing at first, and even cited an anecdote to my sister about how my great-grandma used to fret about tiny me handling raw chilli with my hands, affirming that they're too hot for my then unburnished fingers.

well now i know that it's TRUE it REALLY BURNS your fingers!!!! SIX hours have lapsed since and now my fingers are burning with even greater fervour. i've washed them, bathed them, put lotion,... and they're still BURNING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
