true? true. i dunno. i guess that applies to 100% of the kids who hav tuition against their will. they just sit there, look at a question, and turn to u the instant they think the question looks too difficult. nothin even gets thru to their brain before they pop the question "how to do?".

actually. i dun see the point of forcing kids to hav tuition at all. most "unwilling" tutees are in primary schools. on one hand, they should be just left to enjoy childhood until at least pri4 or pri5. the gruelling can start in pri5 or pri6 for the PSLE. enjoying childhood means they just finish their basic daily school assignments. meaning there's no extra tuition everyday after school, no extra tuition on weekends on top of weekday tuition.

on the other hand, parents insist that the kids are too young to know whats "for their own good". so parents need to take charge of their little lives and stuff it with as many galleons of lessons as possible. for their own good. what bullshit.

what kids from THESE kinda parents REALLY need is NOT "creative projects" or IQ games. What they need is a proper life -- a picnic at the beach, a walk in the park, running with wild abandon in open fields, playing catch, family outings, juz cruising down Orchard Rd in the car, whatever. They dun need to be goaded to complete their tonnes of work just for a Happy meal reward, that is, by the way, supposed to be consumed under 25min because they've got to rush off for school straight after.

What the hell has this whole bullshit education system caused? or izzit an inevitable societal morphing that is a result of higher educated parents, career-minded parents, who leaves the house after their children has gone to school and comes home only when their children are fast asleep in bed?
