why do people get together? why do people get involved in relationships? do people become committed to each other with marriage in mind? one day my sister asked me:"why get together if you dun intend to marry him?" i didn't know why. so that's the question. i dunno. if two people get together but don't intend to marry, why get together in the first place? guess maybe the question is, do the people even want to end up "married", to ANYONE? maybe some people intend to stay single for the rest of their lives. maybe some juz dun intend to spend the rest of their lives with juz one person. then the question is, izzit becoz they have yet to meet the ONE person they'd like to spend the rest of their lives with, or izzit becoz there's juz sth fundamentally wrong with them?

sometimes i look at couples and think to myself, i cant imagine myself with anyone, ending up with anyone. sometimes i look at couples, most couples, and think to myself, why get together only to come to a break up in the end? and so they say: begin with the end in mind. sometimes i dunno to cry or to just treat with apathy, my thoughts of people gettin together, but never lasting, breaking up at some point. cuz nothin' lasts forever...even cold november rain...

is there such a thing as forever? maybe we would like there to be something that is perpetual, and so we call that concept of eternity "forever". but is there such a thing? can you really love someone forever? almost all the time, a moment suspended in time would seem like forever, and sometimes we promise forever. is it inherent in the promise of forever that the promise cannot be kept?

dont promise me forever. i dun believe in forever. but promise me now. cuz now i can taste, and i can touch, i can feel. forever's too big an illusion that will tear you apart if one day, you decide to take forever with you. away.
