:: the notion of god ::
don't you think sometimes the notion of
God is a construct by
Man?
sure. reading his words, or the bible soothes. makes you feel like you're not alone. but so does snoopin in blogs. or reading books. or juz reading anything. or someone's diary. reading anything makes you realize impt revelations that people claim to hit them only when they read the bible.
mayb people juz need to put their finger on everything. we categorize nature in neat little files that we can pull out and read all about when we're at a loss about what to do. we categorize each tree, each flower, each organism, each plant, each cell, each atom, each molecule, each nucleus.
i'm tellin you. we've got too much time on our hands. we spend so much time agonizing over whether this element is in group 1 or 7, making a thousand assumptions before slotting something unknown into a known file and then KIV-ing it. we spend so much time painstakingly poring over each tiny miniscule detail that we failed to notice the humongous picture staring at us in the face.
so mayb Man decided they needed to put their finger on something out of this world. and so came the ghosts, the ufos, the spirits, and of cuz the gods. there is this irrational compulsion for man to find a Reason for everything. and when they cant, they put it to the notion of God. conveniently. god -- the creator of all beings, of all events. the explanation for all things unexplained by human faculties.
and when these people are pounded with paradoxes and questions, they cant resolve it.
mayb we cant resolve it because we are ultimately incompetent.
mortally incompetent.
or maybe it was all juz a scam.
or mayb god was created by Lonely Man. who felt that, that imagined creation would be a forever fren.
for who could ever rob one of an imagined fren, unless oneself alone?
